Liisa Murray Founder / Co-Artistic Director / Choreographer / Dancer Growing up in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan on a diet of tap and jazz, Liisa Murray traveled to Karachi, Pakistan and Zug, Switzerland before being introduced to modern dance by Sophie Gavard. Ms. Murray’s post-secondary education took her to Toronto, Ontario to study dance at York University. Upon the completion of her BFA, Liisa acknowledges the investment of her teachers who enabled her to deepen her understanding of dance as a profession. Currently she is following her passions in choreography, performance, lighting design, stage management, pedagogy, and artistic direction. Liisa hopes to further explore the art of dance in all its capacities as her career unfolds. |

Julie Grant Co-Artistic Director / Choreographer / Dancer Julie was introduced to contemporary dance at Etobicoke School of the Arts, after being trained mostly in ballet. She has worked with many choreographers such as Trisha Armstrong, Caitlin Brown, Colleen Freidman, Danny Grossman, Gabby Kamino, Julia Sasso and with members of rad. Julie had the opportunity to work with Montreal based company Le Carré des Lombes while attending the workshop Springboard Danse Montreal 2008 and attended AHHA Winter Intensive 2009. She will be graduating from York University's BFA Hons. dance program in June 2009. Julie draws inspiration from her experiences in improvisation and her interest in world cultures. |

Laura Bolender Rehearsal Director Laura Bolender, a Toronto born artist, is an emerging dancer, choreographer, teacher and community animator. Laura is in her fourth year as a Dance major at York University, and will also graduate with an Environmental Studies minor and Community Arts certificate. She has trained with many influential teachers such as Julia Sasso, Carol Anderson and Marc Boivin. Laura is beginning to extend her own voice in dance as she choreographs for ASM Dance Company and collaborates with youth in her community. Laura aspires to live life with truth, and extend love to the people and communities in her midst. |
